Short Film Score – Dorpsheld (Village Hero)

Harry was recently commissioned by New Zealand based film production company, Red Rose Productions, to compose the score to their latest short film, Dorpsheld (Village Hero.) The film, set in World War 2, follows a young boy who is taken in by a Nazi Officer and is caught stealing from him.

Here’s what the director said:

“The music that Harry has created for “Dorpsheld”, has complemented the film perfectly. It has powerfully delivered emotion, created suspense and accurately captured the essence that this wartime film is all about. this work is a true masterpiece and i cannot wait to see next, what Mr. Harry Lightfoot has to offer!!”

The film is set for general release on November 9th 2011.

Composing ‘The Final Score’

The Final Score, created and produced by Inverleigh Media, is a sports based news program. The show covers news stories from all around the world, and sports from football to the downright weird!

For this project, Inverleigh needed music for the main title sequence and beds, stings and incidental music within the show.

The program will be aired worldwide later this year and over 70 episodes will be made initially.

Composing ‘The Football Review’


This is a new magazine program covering all news in the world of football. Produced by Inverleigh Media, this show is due to be aired worldwide in late 2011. They approached Harry to compose music for the main titles for the series as well as all the stings, beds and incidentals within the show.

Recording Session At Angel Studios

Music library, Sonic Quiver produced an album with composer Matthew Slater of modern Nu-Jazz pieces. The session at Angel Studios featured the London Media Orchestra and freelance jazz soloists. Harry was hired to play tenor sax.
